The Deacons Ministry of First Baptist Church serves this present age by supporting the church’s mission through spiritual leadership carried out through worship, witnessing, winning souls, caring for those in need, and offering comfort and visitation to the sick and those experiencing loss. We help meet the needs of our congregation while sharing the message of the Gospel with all people.

Our Children’s Ministry is dedicated to teaching and equipping students in an engaging, Christ-centered environment where they learn the foundational truths, teachings, and commandments of Jesus Christ to help them grow as faithful disciples.

Throughout the year, we provide activities and programs designed to nurture children both spiritually and physically. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays, our Children’s Ministry offers an enriching learning environment where boys and girls discover God’s truth and learn how to apply biblical principles to their everyday lives.

Our purpose is to encourage children to make wise, godly decisions and develop character that reflects Christ in their actions and choices.

Christian Education Ministry is committed to nurturing spiritual growth and biblical understanding for all ages through Sunday School, Bible Study, Children and Youth Church, and Vacation Bible School. Our mission is to teach God’s Word with clarity and compassion, equip believers to live according to biblical principles, and develop faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who will serve, lead, and share the Gospel in their homes, churches, and communities.

The purpose of the Christian Education Ministry is to provide a Christ-centered learning environment where individuals of every generation can grow in faith, deepen their relationship with God, and apply biblical truth to everyday life. Through intentional teaching, discipleship, fellowship, and spiritual development, we exist to inspire lifelong learning of God’s Word and empower believers to walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

Using media to magnify the message of Jesus Christ. The Danny D. Patterson, Sr. Media Ministry extends the reach of God’s message beyond the walls of the sanctuary by providing high-quality audio services within the worship space and ensuring the Word remains accessible through meaningful digital engagement. Through an active social media presence on Facebook and other media platforms, the ministry seeks to connect, inspire, and engage audiences both inside the sanctuary and throughout the broader community.

The Deaconess Ministry consists of Christian women whose husbands are ordained Deacons of First Baptist Church. Their primary responsibility is to undergird and support the Deacon's Ministry by enhancing the spiritual matters of the church and encouraging the church membership through witness, peace, love and unity. Also, to support the Deacon's Ministry with joint visitation of the sick and shut-in, organize the details for the communion services, and assist with the preparation of members' baptismal ceremony.

The Marriage Ministry at First Baptist Church is dedicated to supporting couples at every stage of their journey. Through biblical guidance, mentorship, and community connection, we help couples grow in love, communication, and commitment. Our ministry seeks to create a safe place where marriages are strengthened, families are encouraged, and Christ’s love is demonstrated through lifelong partnership. Our purpose is to inspire couples to pursue God’s design for marriage, deepen connection, and cultivate homes grounded in love, unity, and faith.

The Master’s Men Ministry seeks to strengthen, encourage, and support men of all ages through the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We strive to promote unity and provide a strong spiritual support system through Christian education, mission outreach, and meaningful fellowship among brothers in Christ.

The Music Ministry at First Baptist Church uses all that is within to exalt and praise God, and to edify (build up) the body of Christ creating an atmosphere of worship and praise through music and song.

Steps to Achieving Remarkable Success (STARS) is a ministry which provides tutoring resources, SAT/ACT and scholarship information, assistance with completing college applications and the FAFSA. 

Our purpose is to empower students to pursue academic excellence, discover their God-given potential, and confidently prepare for their future through educational support, mentorship, and practical resources. Through tutoring, college preparation, scholarship guidance, and FAFSA assistance, STARS seeks to inspire students to achieve remarkable success while honoring God in their educational journey.

The Sisters Inspiring Sisters Women’s Ministry consists of women and young adult women and is focused on teaching God's grace and mercy so that each woman may commit herself to faithful service. We minister to the needs of the women so that we may prove to be of Christian support to one another. Our service extends beyond the walls of the church into the community.

The Board of Trustees is committed to the faithful stewardship, protection, and maintenance of church property and resources. We ensure that all facilities and equipment are safe, operational, and properly maintained so that the church can effectively carry out its mission of worship, ministry, and community service.

The purpose of the Trustee Ministry is to honor God by safeguarding the physical and financial assets entrusted to the church, ensuring they are managed with integrity, wisdom, and accountability for present and future generations.

As doorkeepers and the first point of contact, our goal is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere as we extend the love of God to all members and guests while also ensuring everyone's needs are met and ready for an amazing worship experience. Our purpose is to lead in the welcoming environment that facilitates the worship experience.
